I’m going back to one of my very first craft shows again this year: at St. Vital EMC on St. Mary’s. There will be a lot of artists – they’re bringing in extra tables cause they’ve maxed out theirs. It’s a perfect time for Christmas shopping, and there will be a canteen serving delicious home-made soup.
It’s from 9:30-3:00, on Saturday the 15th. Take a look at the event here.
Hope to see you there!
I’m excited and nervous and freaking out all at once – Comic Con is today! I’m not even sure what to say about it. In less than three hours, I head down there (I’ll be on the second floor in Artist Alley). And I’m so excited!!
I do have a give away in honor of the con . You could win any of these three items, buy going here, and following the instructions. I will be in costume (which I don’t have pictures of, as I’ve been focusing on chain maille for the past while). I’ll be in a black vest/tailcoat and skirt on friday, pop-can tab chain maille shirt on saturday, and a green dress on sunday. Hopefully by the end of the con I’ll have pictures of all of the costumes.
I’m heading to Jamaica on a missions trip at the beginning of April. As mission trips cost money, 100% of my sales will be going towards the trip, from now till I come back. So if you were interested in my jewelry, now is a great time to make a purchase. Thanks for your support!
As I’m sure some of you have seen already, I was featured in the Interlake Spectator. It was a couple weeks back already, but I had forgotten to post it until now.
The cool thing about this article is that I did absolutely nothing to make it happen. I was approached at a craft show and asked if I would be interested in having an article written about me. I said yes and forgot about it. A few weeks later I got home to a message asking for an interview.
I love it when things just happen to me.
So far this summer I’ve gone to the Arnes Farmer’s Market several times, the Cook’s Creek Renascence Fair, and the Icelandic Festival located in Gimli. They all went fairly well, but the Renascence Fair was my favorite by far. It was huge: there were displays of Fighting, Dance, and Music going on at three different locations the entire day, as well as Market Vendors and a few interactive stations.
I will also be at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival from the 24th to the 26th.
I came up with prices for my jewelry as I went along, so there are some serious inconsistencies. For example, both the Five Scale Earrings and the Scale Bracelet are $14. I will be working on fixing them in the next little while, so some prices will not be the same as the ones at farmers markets and all that. Also, I am going to be at the Arnes Farmers Market every Saturday I can make it this summer. I am going to be there this Saturday, unless I can’t get a table, or some other catastrophe occurs.
